Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program

Curriculum

Our residency program observes thirteen 4-week rotations, instead of the traditional twelve month-long rotations. The additional rotation allows our residents greater variety in their educational experience.

SAMPLE PGY-2 CURRICULUM DIAGRAM (13 - 4 week rotations):

All rotations will be at the Kansas University Medical Center. Residents should rotate through:

  • Body CT
  • GI / GU
  • Musculoskeletal
  • Neuroradiology CT
  • Sonography / Ultrasound
  • Vascular / Interventional
  • Nuclear Radiology
  • Plain film

Residents also rotate through CDI for Musculoskeletal rotations.

Most rotations will be at Kansas University Medical Center, where the residents rotate through:

  • Body CT / MRI
  • GI / GU
  • Musculoskeletal
  • Neuroradiology MRI
  • Sonography / Ultrasound
  • Vascular / Interventional
  • Nuclear Radiology
  • Float

Residents also rotate through Westwood Imaging Center for:

  • Breast imaging
  • Oncologic and general imaging

  • Musculoskeletal
  • Neuroradiology MRI
  • Sonography / Ultrasound

  • Nuclear Radiology
  • Float

Residents will also rotate through Westwood Imaging Center for Breast Imaging, Children's Mercy Hospital for Pediatrics, Kansas City VA for Body CT / MRI and Armed Forces Institute of Pathology.
