PHPR 696/697 Community I/II
Clerkship Description The student will be exposed to all aspects of running an independent retail pharmacy. Specific areas covered would include prescription dispensing, patient counseling, interaction with doctors and nurses, nursing home, accounting, inventory, compounding, administration, payroll, etc. The student is encouraged to voice any other specific areas of retail pharmacy they would like to learn about. Pharmacy business hours are M-F 9 am to 5:30 pm.
Specific Site Requirements/Information Students should be ready to learn a great deal in a comfortable, relaxed environment. The only requirement is a desire to learn.
