PHPR 686/687 Hospital I/II
Clerkship Description The student will be able to experience both hospital and retail pharmacy environments. The retail pharmacy is in a clinic setting and provides medication for a nearby nursing home. The hospital pharmacy will expose the student to unit-dose dispensing and IV preparation, including chemotherapy. Hours are flexible. The retail pharmacy is open from 9 am to 5:30 pm M-F and the hospital pharmacy is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. There is a bunk house on hospital property that is usually, but not always, available for housing students. The students are able to eat one meal at the hospital daily free of charge.
