Clerkship Description

• Input prescriptions into computer/filling prescriptions/counseling patients
• Dealing with many insurance companies
• Understanding and being able to help ostomy patients
• Learning to code and fill out HCFA forms (DME products)
• Fitting back braces/support products
• Dealing with accounts receivable and collection of accounts
• Filling unit dose cassettes/determine unit dose systems
• Sell/rent breast pumps/variety of DME products
• Measure and fit crutches to patients
• Counseling
• Bone density screening
• Cholesterol testing

Hours: 9am-6pm weekdays only.
